Meet the Dancer

Q:  When did you start dancing?

A:  When I was four and I came to MSB when I was five.

Q:  What is your favorite ballet?

A:  Coppelia. I love the wacky, magical story and have fond memories of performing the ballet.

Q:  What is your favorite ballet role and why?

A:  My favorite role I’ve ever performed has to be Marzipan Corps. When I was younger one of my dream roles was Marzipan, so it was dream come true when I got to perform it at Portland’s Merrill Auditorium.

Q:  What are your hobbies?

A:  Outside of dance I’m usually reading novels, playing with my dog, listening to music and volunteering around my school.

Q:  What is your favorite quote?

A:  “I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday.”

-Misty Copeland

Q:  What is you ballet shoe of choice?

A:  My ballet shoe of choice has to be the Bloch Eurostretch pointe shoe.
