Maine State Ballet is dedicated to making ballet accessible and meaningful to our broad and diverse community. Through collaboration with musicians, technicians, educational institutions and arts organizations, Maine State Ballet demonstrates a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion among artists, students, staff, volunteers and our audience.

Central to our mission is to provide opportunities for the community to discover and enjoy the drama and excitement inherent in the art of ballet. Through innovative Educational Outreach Programs, Maine State Ballet has provided numerous narrated performances for school children, many of them for free.

Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion extends to our dance training programs which offer scholarship opportunities for underserved dancers. Striving to make this art form accessible to all, we have made a commitment to our audiences to have low priced tickets available for every performance.
