Maine State Ballet Company Auditions
As a respected regional ballet company, we support talented dancers, though our resources for full-time positions are limited. Most of our company dancers are older high school through university-age students who receive a modest stipend for their contributions during the season. Many rely on family support or part-time work to cover living expenses (which can be high in Maine), and some are also hired to teach with us to supplement their income.
We are open to considering other dancers, especially those who dance the Balanchine-style. If you are in the area and would like to join us for a class, we would be happy to see you in person. If this is the case, please contact us at info@mainestateballet.org to schedule a time to take a class with us. Additionally, if you haven’t already, you can share any video links showcasing your dancing for our consideration, although we prefer to see dancers in person first.
We appreciate your interest and wish you the very best in your pursuit of a career in dance.
