Brooke Sowerby
Principal
Long-time company member, Brooke’s favorite MSB roles include Clara and Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker and Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Puck’s Pixie in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the Spring Fairy in Cinderella. Brooke is a graduate of William Smith College with degrees in Environmental Science and Dance Performance.

Q: When did you start dancing?
A: I started dancing at MSB at age 9.
Q: What is your favorite ballet?
A: My favorite ballet is Sleepy Beauty.
Q: What is your favorite ballet role and why?
A: Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker because it’s everything that I love about dancing and performing - the way the music and the steps and the costumes/set come together - is joyful and so beautiful.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: My hobbies outside of ballet are cooking, thrifting, singing in the car, and going to the beach.
Q: What's your favorite quote?
A: “Dress well to test well.” I don’t know who said it first but I heard it from my best friend in elementary school and it rings true for me to this day.

A: I wear Bloch Sonatas.
