This original new ballet tells the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is actually a prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. If not, he and his household will be doomed forever.
Maine State Ballet's premiere production is filled with spectacular new costumes and sets by Production Designer Gail Csoboth, and original staging and choreography by Artistic Director Linda MacArthur Miele.
